It's a shame about what is happening to this series, and what is happening to it is something I've never come across in a comic before.
It's an awkward situation where you want to really like the the comic, but you can't because the comic doesnt want you too. Which makes no sense. But let me explain.
This series started off well and has become progressivly harder to read because the dialouge is so damn hard to interpret. The dialouge is intense and it's hard to keep track of what is going on because it's so unintentionally cryptic and confusing.
The story isn't bad at all, but like I say, the dialouge is too heavy and too confusing with all the hardcore scientific/military mumbo jumbo.
This issue see's the storyline progress somewhat. But it only progresses a little. Man Thing's appearace was utterly wasted.
The artwork is good in here, it's still very atmospheric and stays true to the horror genre well. It's gorey and very graphic and totally awesome.
But otherwise, the writing is just too much to handle, and I don't like to think of myself as dumb, but this comic makes me feel like I know nothing! It's really weird.
I can't get into this. You can miss out on it for sure. Or wait for the trade. Unless of course you have a PhD in pretty much every field of science.
