Should have waited a few weeks.
I love Batman and I so much wanted to love this story, that said there are a few problem with these books: the titles all interlock but don't follow the story order of the interlocking covers. The covers connect starting with Batman & Robin, Red Robin, Batgirl, & The Outsiders. the order you need to read is B&R, RR, Outsiders, BG. I can only assume next week Carwoman will connect to Commissioner Gordon and then the following week to Oracle and Ra’s Al Ghul. My problem is the stories don’t connect in that order, it was my mistake not to buy the Outsiders so I guess I gotta go back and pick it up to finish this story properly but even then there not gonna connect properly.
**Warning these issues should really be read after you read Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #6 (Which has not been released yet) According to DC’S website Return #6 doesn’t hit shelves until 11/10/10**
Red Robin
What can I say, the story is good, Tim travel’s to Amsterdam to deal with the “mystery” villain that so far only he knows the identity of. There’s a little bit of fighting and we can see that while Tim is a great fighter this guy is better then Tim. We did just see this guy go toe to toe with Batman & Robin and pretty much win. Again were treated to more of Vicki Vale doing her thing.
Good story and it fits in with the whole Return of Bruce Wayne story but like I said above you should really wait to read Return #6 before reading any of these titles.
As with the other issues I give it 3 out of 5 really due to the timing of the release.
