"the nail that sticks up..."

"...gets hammered down."

Wow! What an incredible story of Magneto's youth in the days of the Nazi rise to power before World War II! Greg Pak and editor Warren Simons have definitely done their homework on this one. Finally, a comprehensive story has been written about Magneto's youth and formative years, set in a real world historical context.

This is a tale of family values, propoganda, teen love, persecution, and the iron will developing in the heart of a young man who grows up in his formative years "dead last in everything!" This is an incredible start to this story that will show us exactly how a young man grew to become Magneto!

Greg Pak's writing here is top notch and Carmine Di Giandomenico's art style suits this story incredibly well.

If you were ever the last one picked for the team on the playground, or had a good friend who was, you MUST read this book. If you still remember wanting nothing more than to be able to impress that girl in your life, you MUST read this book.

Highly recommended! I can't wait for the next issue!
