Buck Rogers #1

Being a fan of the early 80's television show, I picked this title up. Now while the 80's show was rather cheesy, This interpetation of the classic sci-fi Icon only has a little cheese so far. The art is good, not great but good. The Covers look great though with Alex Ross doing a cover and John Cassaday with Laura Martin doing one, and Matt Wagner With Dave Stewart doing a 1:5 variant.

The Story is still warming up but looks rather interesting. It starts right where Bucks story starts. If you are unfamiliar with the Character he is an astronaut that has been displaced in time 500 years into the future. His ship has just crash landed and he is already in hot water! I don't want to give anything away but lets just say that bears in the future shoot back.

I'll plan on following this title for a few issues at least still gotta see where it goes, but so far it's a pretty good read.

Great issue. I was looking to fill my Fear Agent void and I think this one will do nicely. I agree though about the story warming up. I think it will get there.
