Greg Rucka did a good job narrating this issue from the waitress's perspective. As reader, you get somewhat attached to her and I'm pretty sure that's what he was aiming for.
I liked that.
I didn't like how Wolverine looked overweight, sloppy, and unhealthy. I know that even Wolverine gets down and I can even see him living by himself in an apartment with no furnishings. I know that part of the attraction to Wolverine is that he just doesn't give a sh**. But this was too much. Hopefully, later on in this arc he comes across as a little less ogre and a little more ... Wolverine.
Even though, the "mean man" (as coined by the narrating waitress) was still mysterious and sweet. Although I have my complaints, and I DIDN'T get to see a fight scene, I enjoyed this issue. I really, actually, did.
