Spider-clone, Spider-clone, does whatever a spider-clone does...
I am not familiar with the Spider-Clone storyline, Ben Riley or Kaine. I only knew of the character after he was saying good-bye to Peter Parker at the end of Spider-Island. I will be picking up issue 2, which is a relief since any first issue these days is a gamble. The story and art are strong, Yost and Stegman capture this anti-hero trying to vanish, unsuccesful, without a trace. Like any wandering character, he comes across a path paved with dead bodies, one survivor, a villan I've never seen before and a load of money (which our anti-hero takes). The story sets up that Kaine will need to rescue the survivor from the new villian before he web-shoots himself off into the sunset. There's one classic scene of an old load trying to cross the street, with speedying SUV about to hit the granny, Kaine saves the day with a bloddy sequence...nicely done.
