Labyrinth of Wackness!

The title of this book says it all “Labyrinth of Madness”, as I nearly went mad reading it! There is no real introduction to the book so you don’t know how the characters got to where they are or why they’re rescuing Sorril in the first place. The plot is weak and skips anything that could be considered interesting preferring instead to sum up half their adventure with a couple of dialog boxes, and the action sequences are lack luster at best. The dialog is barely readable and it takes you forever to find out the characters names and who they are attached to. It looks like Mike Barron, Arnie Swekel, Glenn Michael Angus, Dennis Cramer, and John Workman were just looking for a paycheck with this one and didn’t put forth any real effort. As a fan of TSR and early D&D properties I walk away disappointed and with a bitter taste in my mouth.
