Not a bad start, but nothing special

This is the first issue after the events of Second Coming, and while it was a good issue, it wasn't anything special.

Matt Fraction's story was alright. I found Cypher to be too ... ackward. If you've ever seen the show Bones, you know the main character is highly intelligent, but doesn't really seem to know how to interact with people who aren't also geniuses. Fraction has written Cypher like this, and I may be wrong, but I don't really remember Douglas Ramsey being that socially-ackward.

And Portacio's art? Lacking. Some panels really stood out, and others, I just wondered what the heck he was drinking while drawing them.

The back-up story was awesome, and it saved the book. Why they couldn't have had Olivier Coipel draw the whole book, beyond me.
