Medusa has abandoned the rest of the Inhumans to the Skrull invasion and taken the Royal Family on a mission to rescue Black Bolt. The Skrulls are attempting to turn him into a living weapon, and they may have just found the key. Medusa's tactic is risky: she seeks out Ronan and the Kree and proposes an alliance to defeat their mutual enemy. Ronan drives a hard bargain. His price for this arrangement is Crystal's hand in marriage. The deal is made and the Royal family take three simultaneous missions to gain the keys they need to defeat the Skrulls.
