Tony Stark and the other resident Avengers science and tech experts, Yellowjacket, Black Panther and the Beast try to decipher the mystery behind Wonder man's resurrection.
Count Nefaria's back in New York combing warehouses to recruit just the right kind of washed-up super criminal types to reform the Lethal Legion.
The new Legion immediately set about their usual fare; robbing banks and terrorizing civilians when they get interrupted by the Avengers. The trio beat a hasty retreat back to Nefaria's townhouse, where they are promised increased powers by the Count.
Thus emboldened, the re-energized Lethal Legion launch a daylight assault on Avengers' Mansion, injuring the Wasp. Wonder Man leaps at his counterpart, Power Man, not expecting to meet with such raw power. The Legion and Avengers engage in a battle that's over before it's begun due to the villains' powers fizzling out.
When the danger seems to have passed a new, all-powerful Count Nefaria appears bestride the astonished Avengers.
