"The Games of Raging Gods"
Hercules is on the West Coast, trying to integrate himself into the world of mortals, lecturing on the Gods at University for Richard Fenster, when he chances upon a wild fire. He helps extinguish it, never knowing that its cause was another Olympian.
Typhon, a Titan and outcast from Olympus, who, in escaping captivity in Hades with the witch Cylla, brought Hellfire with him. Typhon hates Hercules for his role in Typhon's defeat and punishment (see Avengers (1963) #'s 49 & 50).
Hercules is soon battling the pair for his life, but his attackers' partnership strains, and ultimately, Zeus decides the battle by re-consigning the pair to Hades.
