Superman rescues Matrix, pretending to be Clark Kent, from the rubble of a building that was destroyed during his battle with Doomsday.
At S.T.A.R. Labs the Eradicator's future looks grim, but Kitty Faulkner is determined to save the hero and her drive yields a heartbeat - the Eradicator is alive!
Back at Lois's apartment Superman confronts "Clark Kent", demanding that the charade end immediately. Lois and Clark thank Supergirl for changing into Clark in order to make their plan of explaining his missing status. Just as Supergirl leaves, Dr. Occult whisks the Man of Steel and Lois away to the past and explains how Superman managed to return from the dead while they watch the battle with Doomsday and Kal-El's struggles in the afterlife play out before them.
