Kurt has learned he was set up by the Church of Humanity (COH) to become the Pope of the Catholic Church so the COH could expose him as an Anti-Christ, forever destroying both the Catholic Church and Mutants. He further learns that they are still in Montana as he and the team head there for the final showdown against the COH. The X-Men battle the COH and learn the true origins of the Supreme Pontiff, an abused Catholic Nun.
