*Story so far...
200 years ago, America was founded by a group of elite human beings called the Megas. Responsible for all our advances in philosophy, technology, science, and culture, the Megas represent the best of what human beings can achieve. With their striking looks and impeccable sense of right and wrong, the Megas have structured a society that is completely dependent on their influence.
But as the King lies dying, and a hideous murder/suicide threatens to crack the pristine facade of Mega rule, Detective Jack Madison finds himself between a rock and a hard place. And when his Mega girlfriend, Julianne, the daughter of his mentor Noah Bach, shows up at his apartment... there's more than just love in the air. Unfortunately, things turn sour when Jack can't help but lament the secrecy of their relationship and their inability to ever be together in public.
As Jack gets further into his investigation of the apparent Mega murderer, Ellington Boudreaux, some things just don't add up. But it's the dead girls friend Rizzo who really makes Jack suspicious, when he reveals that he saw Boudreaux and the girl whisked away in a dark van the night they were found dead.
And just as he's trying to figure out what all these little bits and pieces add up to, he gets a call from The White Palace... the King wants to see him... and Jack doesn't have any choice but to comply. *Source: Megas #3
