The X-Men are captured by the forces of the Nanny since she is able to jam their mutant abilities. Rogue is having a hard time suppressing her memories without her mutant powers as things look bleak. Nanny brings Joseph up to date on current events as he is being held separate from the others. Deathbird has escaped and nurses Bishop back to health on a Shi'Ar space station. He was badly injured when the ship carrying them and the X-Men broke up when the jump gate exploded.
