Overwhelmed by guilt for breaking his own oath against killing, Superman exiles himself from Earth and begins a journey of isolation and desolation.
Superman begins his galaxy spanning adventure and almost loses his life in an equipment malfunction. Meanwhile, back in Metropolis Clark Kent's first article exposing the new crime syndicate called Intergang results in a hit being ordered against him and costs another man his life.
Also, Dr. Amanda McCoy continues with her efforts to prove to the world what she already knows - Clark Kent is Superman!
