*2016′s Most Successful Independent Superhero Debut Reaches New Readers in Local Comic Shops with Unprecedented Second Printing
As revealed today during the Diamond Retailer Summit at Comic-Con International 2016 in San Diego, Valiant is proud to announce that FAITH #1 – the highest selling independent superhero series debut of the year and the launch title of “THE FUTURE OF VALIANT” initiative – has sold out at the distributor level just days after its July 20th on-sale date.
To celebrate the series’ landmark debut and satisfy an unprecedented degree of fan and retailer demand, Valiant revealed today that it will be shipping 100,000 complimentary copies of a new FAITH #1 SECOND PRINTING to participating comic shops in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Set to arrive on August 24th alongside FAITH #2 and GENERATION ZERO #1, these complimentary copies of the 48-page FAITH #1 SECOND PRINTING will carry a cover price of $2.99 and come shrink-wrapped in individually bundled units of 20. Retailers are encouraged to rack their copies with the week’s new releases, discount them at a promotional rate, or even give them away so that new readers can discover the wildly popular series that has taken fans and retailers by storm!
Packed with content at a colossal 48 pages, the FAITH #1 SECOND PRINTING features the beginning of Faith’s first ongoing series – as told by acclaimed writer Jody Houser (Orphan Black), stratospheric interior artists Pere Perez (ARCHER & ARMSTRONG), Marguerite Sauvage (DC Comics Bombshells), and Colleen Doran (The Sandman), and sensational cover artist Kevin Wada (She-Hulk)!
