Asked by S.T.A.R. Labs for help and information on the comatose Eradicator, Superman returns to the Antarctic only to find that the Fortress has been all but destroyed. As Dr. Connor works feverishly to find an answer to reviving the Eradicator, an accidental power surge transfers his mind from his own dying cancer-ridden body to that of the Eradicator.
