Johnny, Sue and Ben continue their fight with Tyros the Terrible in a supermarket parking lot in Queens. All the while Doom watches from above waiting for Reed Richards to arrive for the final coup de grace. But when Reed fails to show, Doom feels his victory would be cut short and demands Tyros cease the battle. Tyros lashes out at Doom with his cosmic powers and fuses his armor, making him immobile. When the Silver Surfer becomes aware of the melee, he joins the fray. The battle between the two former heralds of Galactus causes Tyros' powers to surge, turning his body into a giant fireball that lands directly where Doom had been frozen, seemingly destroying both of them.
