"Conan the Cimmerian, Part 6: Homecoming"
Conan manages to bring the injured Caollan and captive Horsa to his home village. He is warmly greeted and visits with his mother. She tells the story of Connacht, Conan's grandfather, how he tired of his mercenary career. He returned home over the mountain pass that Conan had just crossed in the dead of winter and got caught in an avalanche. He was rescued by a Cimmerian woman from another village whom he later married. That marriage stopped Connacht's wandering ways.
Conan and Caollan find that their old love has not disappeared. Her promised groom, Brecan, is on the hunt for her to end the fiasco he had started, and end her life.
