After leaving the WildC.A.T.s, Grifter goes in search of Michael Cray so that he can help keep the Daemonite key safe. But he is ambushed by Daemonites, and is seriously wounded. While he struggle on, he flashes back through memories of the people in his life that are the most important to him.
