The Magneto war is over and Magneto is now the ruler of Genosha but that does not sit well with Logan as he runs scenarios in the danger room on how he can assassinate Magneto. Meanwhile, Charles meets with the new liaison to the government on mutant affairs but finds the meeting very disturbing and unproductive. Rogue continues to grieve for Joseph after he was killed by Magneto as the entire team, minus Logan, holds a funeral ceremony in honor the man called Joseph. But as Charles confronts Logan on his absence from the ceremony, the team is whisked away by an alien life form.
