Cary Bates is mysteriously transported to Earth-1, where he must use his story writing skills to help the Flash stop the Trickster's wild crime spree.

The problems with Green Lanterns' power ring have gotten worse. On its own, the ring has trapped Hal Jordan inside a dome of emerald energy to save others from Green Lantern's uncontrollable fits of rage. This story runs from issue #226 to #228.
