When Hightower appears at the HALO Corporation, the WildC.A.T.s immediately attack. After taking Emp as a hostage, he is able to get them to talk. It seems he is after one of the Daemonite keys for himself, but the WildC.A.T.s are willing to work with him to prevent Defile from doing the same. Grifter is not on board with the truce, and walks out on the WildC.A.T.s.
During the battle, Savant was trying to reach the WildC.A.T.s. Unable to do so, she then turns to Synergy at StormWatch, who promises to send an operative. But Savant is soon attacked by Mister White and the Mercs. Eventually, Mister Majestic comes to the rescue. But just as things seem to be going their way, they are interrupted by Union.
