A scientist receives news that he has been humbled by his life-long rival yet again, and vows vengeance. He attempts to create a monster which will destroy his rival, but fails and pitches the carcass into his moat, where the quicksand turns the monster into the unstoppable "It"...but it is a monster with a conscience. 13 pages.

The ship Molly Brown is found adrift at sea with only one crew member on board. This lone man tells of how his ship came upon the pirate ship the Flying Dutchman. They boarded it, found it full of gold, but also full of ghosts who pleaded for them not to plunder the loot. Fearless of the ghosts, all of his crewmates helped themselves, and fell victim to the curse of the pirate gold, of becoming ghosts themselves. 6 pages.
"I Am the Beast Man!"
Reprinted from Astonishing #12, originally titled "My Nightmare Has No End!".
A man's dreams all end in the same fashion... with a shadowy figure watching him. Finally, the figure fully manifests, explaining that it is an alien that has managed to enter our dimension through the man's dream state. He offers to trade places with the man, explaining his world is a paradise. The man accepts and finds out the harsh truth behind the alien's lie. 6 pages.
