Cabot attacks his daughter and Josh as they sit at the lake. The battle does not go well as Josh is shot point blank, leaving Julia to believe he is dead. She takes him into the lake and drowns, not realizing that Josh has mutant powers of healing just like Warren. Meanwhile, Warren opens up to Paige's mother about his feelings for Paige, but Paige walks in and is upset that Warren cannot open up to her. The X-Men, hearing the shots fired off in the distance, head out towards the lake as the sheriff arrives and threatens to shoot Mrs. Guthrie.
