"The Hate Monger" (X-488) by Lee and Kirby/Bell; 22 pages.
A new menace arises, as the mysterious Hate Monger sows hatred through the world via his H-Ray gun. The FF confront him, but get turned against each other, and disband. CIA Agent Nick Fury visits Reed, his old Army pal, to enlist his aid against the Hate Monger. Fury schemes to separately send each member of the FF to the Hate Monger's South American base, where they reunite and confront the madman. The Hate Monger is killed by his own men, and is revealed to be Adolf Hitler (or a body double).

"No One Escapes the Mandarin" (X-673) featuring Iron Man by Lee and Heck; 13 pages.
Iron Man is held captive of the Mandarin, and only by tricking the Mandarin into a fruitless search for Tony Stark does Shellhead get a chance to recharge and bust free. The Mandarin attempts to snare another American missile with his Interceptor Ray, but Iron Man ruins the plan, destroys the Ray and recovers the stolen missiles.

The military is bewildered that they can't find the Hulk, only Bruce Banner and Rick Jones. Banner is comforted by Betty Ross, but worries about nightfall, as he changes into the Hulk at sundown.
