"Last Son, Part 4" (Story is continued from Action Comics #846 and continues in Action Comics Annual #11)

Trapped in the Phantom Zone, Superman encounters Lar Gand, aka Mon-El. Lar recounts their first meeting, many years ago, when a young Clark Kent was forced to send him into the Phantom Zone to save his life, after a leathal exposure to lead.
After a brief fight with Dev-Em in Fort Rozz, Superman returns to Earth, to learn that Zod has completely taken over the world.
Needing to stop General Zod, Superman tracks down Lex Luthor, the one person with weapons to defeat Kryptonians. However, Lex decides that he will not be joining Superman, to save the world. Instead, Superman will be joining him and the rest of the new Superman Revenge Squad.
