Sister Maria De La Joya is being chased through the jungle by a strange creature as she is saved by a mutant and his two pets. They want to know where is Joseph? On the throne world of the Shi'Ar empire, the X-Men help to celebrate the victory against the Phalanx as Joseph can not understand how they celebrate the dead rather than mourn them. Gambit helps bury the dead rather than join the celebration. Afterwards, the X-Men are given a fast ship to head back home but the jump gate is destroyed by a large, unidentified craft.
