Dr. Randolph Stein has had enough! As his mission to disprove the existence of Atlantis has progressed further into the inky depths, the sanity and well-being of the submarine crew have disappeared with the light. His rational mind resists the possibility of there being a 'real' Sub-Mariner, even though his other senses start hinting otherwise. The crew is cautious and hostile toward this outsider who refuses to respect the Oceans and those who rule there.
