Thor and Balder battle Bloodaxe, until a spell from Karnilla robs Eric Masterson of Thor's strength, giving Bloodaxe the victory.
In the Netherworld, Sif desperately battles Mephisto's demons in her efforts to rescue the real Thor. As the demons threaten to overwhelmn her, Mephisto offers to free his prisoner in exchange for Sif's service.
Following their run-in with Bloodaxe, Balder and Eric Masterson journey to the Netherworld in search of Sif. Neither is prepared for what they find on their arrival.
