Nick Fury requests the aid of the Fantastic Four when a portal to the Negative Zone appears just above the Earth. When Reed investigates, he is abducted by Blastaar. Fury and the rest of the team rush to his aid but during the resulting battle a greater threat is released, in that of Annihilus.
