The team grieves for Ben, but Reed is not sure Ben is actually dead. He has to fight the hot-headed Johnny and the police for a chance to prove to everyone that Ben is not gone. He manages to get the remaining Fantastic Four to follow him back to the Baxter Building where he revives Ben. But in order to save Ben, Reed reverses Ben's ability to change his form, a small price to pay in Ben's eyes. But the trouble for the FF is not over as the Watcher comes with a dire warning of impending danger. It's followed by another warning from Mrs. Harkness and Franklin. The Mayor has ordered the FF disband and they are all arrested when they confront the Mayor, but the Mayor is under the influence of another. The one warned about by the Watcher, the Over-Mind.
