"The Animus Engagement"

Now possessing a re-powered Infinity Gauntlet, the Magus is now the most powerful being in the Universe. Returning from his mission, Galactus soon discovers his mistake.

The heroes are still in heated battle with the doppelgangers. With a snap of his fingers, the Magus makes all of the doppelgangers vanish.
And with another snap of his fingers, the Magus imprisons all of the heroes, including Galactus in a giant crystal.

Having defeated his doppelganger, Thanos attacks the Magus. Thanos is severely outpowered, however, it gives Adam Warlock the opportunity to strike. He grabs ahold of the Infinity Gauntlet.

During the skirmish, the prison holding the heroes is destroyed. Witnessing the ultimate battle for the universe between the Magus and Adam Warlock, the heroes escape into Galactus's ship.

With the aid of Eternity and Infinity, Adam Warlock defeats the Magus. All of the heroes are returned to where they were previous to the ordeal.

Back on Monster Isle, the Infinity Watch and Thanos stand around a catatonic Adam Warlock, having decided the battle between himself and the Magus took too much out of him.

Eternity soon appears to tell the Infinity Watch that the Infinity Gauntlet will never work again, no matter what the circumstances.

And within Adam Warlock's Soul Gem, the Magus resides, discovering that he is completely invisible to even its residents. Being completely alone.
