*Nimue planned to summoning her army and transforming herself from the Queen of Blood to the Goddess of War, and to end the world of Man. However, she never dreamed he would be a pawn in the manifestation of her dark god, the Ogdru Jahad. Hellboy has been carried safely past by Nimue's waiting army by Baba Yaga at the cost of his left eye, and climbs Nimue's castle to confront her. Elsewhere, the dejected Alice sits with Excalibur, the undead army awaiting outside for a purpose. It comes in the form of another, a seeming common man, George Washbrook, who takes up Excalibur, is crowned by the Lady of the Lake, who give him the Holy Grail. With the Grail, he returns his army to the flesh. Back at Nimue's castle, Hellboy finds that he battles not the Queen of Blood, but the Black Dragon, Ogdru Jahad, who orders his army forth to destroy Mankind. *Source: Warlock
