"The Riotous Return of the Red Ghost!"
Reed finishes the device his unnamed captor has blackmailed him into working on as he finally learns that he will be getting his powers back. Reed is launched into space to duplicate the event that first turned he and his friends into the Fantastic Four. But while in space a strange anomoly occurs as the Red Ghost seeps into the ship and regains cohesiveness. Reed and the Red Ghost fight, but in the end the Red Ghost destroys the controls to the shuttle, sets it to crash on Earth and escapes letting Reed go down with the ship. Reed survives the crash and contacts Nick Fury for a ride to Latveria. Meanwhile in Latveria, Doom is being forced to step down as Monarch and turn control over to his son, the unnamed captor of Reed Richards. Doom has kidnapped Alicia in an effort to have her sculpt a statue of Doom, but as the shuttle crashes Doom's attention is diverted away from Alicia and the rest of the FF.
