*Grendel and Tujiro spar on a rooftop overlooking Brian's apartment, and while it ends in stalemate, Grendel learns that fire and water are both vulnerabilities of the vampire. The fight has other unintended consequences. Now, the public knows that Grendel has been confirmed in San Francisco, and, worse, Brian is aware of Christine's alter ego. Christine's friend, Ginny Anastasi, is picked up by supposed police in the middle of the night, and brought to Argent, who has been watching Grendel's progress from afar.
