"The Storm, Part 2 of 3"
We see in flashback the history of when Nimue seduced, then betrayed Merlin, stealing his magics and sealing him in his grave. We see Nimue forging a bond with Ogdru Jahad, the Black Dragon. Other witches, fearing her madness, cut her to pieces and sealed her away. Now, resurrected by Gruagach, she has returned to become the Goddess of War, raising an army to put an end to the world. The spirit of Merlin curses Gruagach with eternal life so that he must live to see all this terror unfold. Elsewhere, Hellboy struggles with Nimue's magic warrior. With Excalibur in hand, Hellboy is able to defeat him, but the dying creature reveals that Nimue is transforming into something beyond her control, and that she will be impossible to stop. Later, as Hellboy ponders whether his good intentions are enough to halt his prophesied role as the destroyer of the world, his army of undead royal knights has assembled, awaiting his command.
