"Where Fall the Shifting Sands?"
Bruce Banner finds himself Earth-bound in a rocket, struggling to survive the conditions. He forces a transformation to the Hulk. Back on Earth, the Sandman has learned of an experimental space ship which can span dimensions. He plans to steal it, to reach the Negative Zone in order to re-unite with his partner, Blastaar (flashback of Fantastic Four (1961) #63). When Hulk's ship returns to Earth, the Sandman mistakes it for his targeted ship. They confront each other before the Sandman makes his plea for the Hulk to help him. The Hulk is tricked into heading to Ross' base to take the experimental rocket. While the Hulk battles Ross' soldiers, the Sandman steals the rocket, but inadvertently endangers Betty Ross. The Hulk turns on the Sandman, thwarting the rocket theft. 18 pages.
