"Lo, the Monster Strikes!"
Sorcerer Taboo has captured Jack Russell's step-father, Phillip, and transferred his mind into the body of his grotesque son Algon. Taboo is irked that his assistant, the beautiful Topaz, has sided with Jack. This had all been part of a plan to gain hold of the rune book, the Darkhold, which was in the keeping of Phillip Russell, but now Taboo has discovered that the book is no more, and he has ordered his monstrous son destroy the Werewolf By Night. After a stand-off, Jack and Topaz escape with the catatonic Phillip. Taboo's plans are far from over, though, and he performs a spell that steals the mystic elements from Topaz and puts them into Algon. The werewolf arrives, and upsets the careful balance and both Taboo and Algon perish. Jack reconciles with his step-father, and decides to visit the scene of the accident which put him under the curse, Transylvania, taking Topaz with him.
