"The Garden of Death and Life!"
A weary traveler, Conan, rides into a small desert town late at night. Seeking shelter, he decides to stop in a local tavern where there's bound to be wine and dancing girls before turning in for the night.
Suddenly, he hears shouts coming from down a darkened street, and soon follows a girl being pursued by an angry mob. Conan is quick coming to her aid and soon finds himself in a fight with the mob. They warn Conan that she is Zhadorr, but he cares not.
To him she is just a girl, a woman, and in need of rescue. After all, will she not be grateful? Fighting off the angry mob is easy enough however, they clearly have overstayed their welcome in this town.
Conan leads the girl to his waiting horse while the mob pursues and they make their escape, galloping off into the desert under the moonlit sky. Zhadorr tells Conan of an oasis Shar-Al-Tjinn, just three days ride away. He decides one place is as good as another, and likes the sound of escaping the desert heat.
Along the way they encounter desert raiders, and find themselves fleeing once more, and finally reach the oasis. But there's more than meets the eye to this place, and soon Conan will have to battle more than just the desert raiders!
