Someone has crucified mutants on the front lawn of Xavier's school and the X-Men round down the list of suspects, which points to one culprit, the Church of Humanity. But Kurt comes to a dilemma that he cannot resolve, he has memories of being ordained and celebrating with his friends, who don't share the same memories. They arrive at the church to find the true nature of his memories and this church.
