"Troika, Part Two of Four" continues from Batman #515 and continued in Detective Comics #682.
The Dark Rider boasts that as the heroes pursue the Troika, his nuclear device will destroy Gotham. The next day, Bruce Wayne discovers just how difficult life is without Alfred when he fails to attend a meeting to discuss WayneTech's policy regarding the Troika. That night he encounters the senses-altering Colonel Vega, but is able to escape his death trap. Vega is less lucky, killed for his failure.
