Defile has created a monster, and plans to use it to destroy StormWatch. But the team is having its own problems, as Synergy disciplines Cannon for his actions in Rwanda.
Flashpoint gets the fight he wants as Battalion has had enough of the attitude. Their fight is interrupted as Synergy calls the team in to scramble to Hawaii, where Defile's creature is threatening the stability of a large volcano.
Defile's creature introduced in this issue is later revealed to be Maul (Jeremy Stone).
