Paul Westfield, director of Project Cadmus, has sent exploding D.N.Aliens after Superboy to take him out. As Clark settles in at Jimmy's, Lois is less than thrilled with the bachelor pad lifestyle. Superman and Superboy return to Project Cadmus for some answers and learn that although he looks like the Man of Steel, Superboy is not actually a clone of the Kryptonian.
