The Team tracks Lucifer to his new hideout but are confronted by an angry ranch owner on whose land Lucifer's new base is on. The team is split up and hunted by enemy robots as Charles has a face-to-face with Lucifer. Charles finds out the origins of Lucifer and what he is up to on Earth, for Lucifer is an alien who commands a powerful computer that can control the thoughts of people and plans to use it to enslave humanity. But the X-Men prevail and Lucifer is forever banished by his Supreme Leader for his failure to enslave earth.
"The Plague of...the Locust!"
Jean heads off to College to start her studies away from the Institute. Meanwhile, a new super villain grows his army of locus in the fields of a local farm, preparing for his attack on humanity. Jean learns of a strange ex-professor, fired from the University and now working for a major chemical company that may have something to do with the locus problem. She rejoins the team as they confront and defeat the Locus (August Hopper).
