The action depicted on the cover is a very loose represenation of what happens in
Secret Invasion #6. Maybe that's because there's SO MUCH going on that you can't possibly put an overview picture of what the issue is as a whole on the cover. Still it was nice to see the
Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America) reunited, albiet a
SHORT one.
The dialogue was good, as usual for a Bendis story, but while the story is really good, the artwork from Yu just doesn't do it for me, and his art feels more and more rushed with each issue. Add on the fact that there's like 3 double page spreads with little to no dialogue (that's 6 pages of story in a $3.99 comic! Do the math!), I feel like I'm getting a little jipped. Especially when the art isn't the best in the world, either.
Gas prices might slow the sales of Secret Invasion #6 down, but not my little review. Still, it's nice to be able to have your say about how the depiction of the destruction of New York City is laid out for my 400 pennies! :)
