This is the Silver Surfer at his best. This is also the Fantastic Four at their best. There is no coincidence in that the Silver Surfer would elevate the FF to heights not achieve on their own; the FF need a cosmic character to make them show their best.
The Silver Surfer also brings the best of Spider-Man; his humor and his humanity. Allowing Mary Jane to experience the Power Cosmic not only allowed the Silver Surfer to repay his adopted planet but also brought two hearts together in a shared experience.
The Silver Surfer brings peace to two warring planets that are caught on an endless war; a forever war of ever increasing escalation and devastation.
Finally, he brings to his native planet the friendship of Galactus and redeems all by becoming part of the cosmos.
This is one of the best tributes to the Silver Surfer and his creators. Marvel well done!!
