Mister Grinning Soul!

Oh man oh man, if you think the homage cover to David Bowie is awesome enough, then you're going to love the story inside if you're a long time Madman reader! I can garuntee it!

One reason I would say that this is a great issue for Madman readers who have read Madman since the 90s when he first appeared, is because this issue see's the return of an evil character from the very first few issues of Madman back from the 90s when Madman visited Buzztown! He was probably I think one of the first bad guys Frank ever encountered, so to see him back in this issue for a second time was like a wave of cool nostalgia hitting you in the nuts... (in the good way though, and assuming you are male).

This is another single issue story and it's a damned good one! Madman goes on a real adventure here to a distant land, which turns out to be not that distant after all. It's very clever and a prime example of how much creativity Mike Allred really does have! I want to know what kind of drugs he takes to come up with stuff like this, because I love it! It's such a cleverly written issue as well, with strong dialogue throughout!

The artwork is beautiful and amazing, I really do bum Mike Allred, but with good reason! If it's as good as this then I don't care what people say! I happily bum Mike Allred's comics!

This is an issue that long-time readers will guaranteed love to bits. Plus, next issue has another homage front cover to the Beatles' 'Abbey Road' album.
