More like a series of two-shots

What a total train wreck this book is. It starts off brilliantly with Morrison and Ha bringing the Authority to our earth. Then when they jump ship and WildStorm brings Keith Giffen to take care of the next 10 issues (only six total issues in this trade) and it quickly becomes standard fare. Add in about four more pencilers, including the dreadful Jonathan Wayshak on Giffen's best issue (really, dude, you made me feel bad for the Carrier? Nice work) and the thing is just an unholy mess from a production standpoint. But... It's Authority. And it's not bad Authority, so it's completely readable and, at times, quite good. It's just a sloppy collection.
